Keeping in touch with your customers or potential customers over email can be tricky. When you want to reach a bunch of your contacts over email at once, what do you do? Use the BCC line? Or do you just throw them all in the To line? If you do, STOP NOW!
When you keep in contact with your clients, it is best to give them an option to receive your email or unsubscribe whenever you are using it to promote your product or service. I recommend that you NEVER use your own email to reach 20, 100, or 500 contacts at once. This will tag you as a spammer faster than you can say spammer!
I use an online service called Constant Contact that complies with all the anti-spam laws and proper email marketing etiquette. This service will manage all of your contacts, provide you with templates for HTML emails that look professional and is affordable for most businesses.
